What a GREAT First Week

We've had a fabulous first week of lemonade stands! Thanks so much to all of the students, teachers, parents and volunteers for their hard work! And thanks to the students at Wallenpaupack Elementary School South for sharing the photos of their lemonade stand (above!).

Don't forget to vote for your favorite "MAKE A DIFFERENCE" poem. As of this morning, 48 people have cast their votes!
Here are the fundraising totals (as reported) for this week:

Bonnie Holland Elementary : $764
David City Elementary: $423.36
East Stroudsburg High South: $554.00
Huntington Elementary: $636.09
Kutztown Middle School: $54.42
Leola Elementary: $237.38
Trinity Catholic: $162.90
Wallenpaupack South Elementary School: $204
West York Area High School: $105
So far, we've raised $3141.15!! That's fantastic! (and we only have 9 out of 38 schools reporting!). Don't forget to submit your daily fundraising totals each time you hold a stand at http://www.magpi.net/programs/alexslemonade.html.

Here's what schools told us they were up to this week (don't forget to send Heather an email at hweisse @ magpi.net and tell her what you're up to, too!):

Huntington Elementary: Students at Huntington School are definitely putting the squeeze on cancer! Reached their fundraising goal!

Jacob Elementary: Jacob Elementary has been hard at work fundraising. It has been an exciting week--with Friday's pie throwing finale!

Wallenpaupack South Elementary School: The students are very excited! They'll have another stand on Wednesday April 1st along with a Beach Day where students will pay $1.00 to wear beach clothes. If they reach our goal of $350.00 (and it sure looks like they will!), some teachers will be getting whipped cream pies in the face... (Note to Wallenpaupack Students: We would REALLY like to see pictures of
this!!!)

West York Area High School: Unfortunately, they had to postpone their first lemonade stand because of rain - - but they've been collecting donations all the same!
